What to Wear

Believe it or not, just as us South Texans were proudly sporting our slouchy beanies and plaid coats, the unthinkable happened. Winter weather has now become a thing of the past, meaning it’s time for us to place our beloved sweaters back into storage and bust out the cut-offs and cat eye sunnies as we make our way through campus. Even if you’re still enjoying chilly temperatures (and wearing leather pants without having a meltdown), it’s never too early to put your best foot forward for the upcoming season!

Strolling through campus on a particularly warm morning, I spotted this charming Fashionista embracing the spring season with a punchy mix of colors. When your usual short shorts and mini dresses don’t seem to do the trick, take a few styling cues from this Fashionista and sport a lace crop top instead. Other than adding some much needed texture to your daily ensemble, a top like this will keep you cool and collected as you make your way through the quad. For those oh so chilly (and completely dreadful) classrooms, follow in this Fashionista’s footsteps and sport a printed cardigan! To tie your look together, opt for a pair of classic, tried and true skinny jeans in a dark wash. Nothing says springtime more than an adorable pair of sandals, so as much as it may pain you, place your beloved boots back on the shelf and sport around this stunning pair instead! Whether or not you’re lucky enough to experience the change of the season, there’s no better time to swoon over spring street style like the present!

One Simple Change: As spring break is fast approaching, ditch the jeans for a pair of high-rise cut-offs and swap the cardigan for a much needed pair of shades for a look perfect for your upcoming vacation!
