Okay, so the title may be a little misleading, but, we are experiencing what can only be described as the perfect Indian summer right now! After finally accepting that fall was upon us New Englanders, out of nowhere mother nature comes in with four amazing 70 and 80-degree days. Although this is torturous as we are all gearing up or in the midst of midterm season, at least studying outside is still a possibility! Who knew that we would be saying that in October in Massachusetts?
This Fashionista has the perfect start to an autumn look. Instead of jumping right back into summer with some denim shorts, she has gone for this very chic chambray circle skirt. This adds a touch of class and is more formal for heading to class, which can definitely be a good thing – your professors can be some of your best networking contacts, so it is always good to look put together when seeing them.
On top, she is rocking a very bohemian-inspired peasant blouse with some adorable tassels. Peasant blouses and loose blouses of the like are the perfect class-wear, especially during unpredictable weather; they are thin enough to layer while remaining breathable enough to keep you cool. Bonus – they are super comfortable as well! On her feet she rocks classic and functional Keds sneakers. These are not only functional and perfect for running in between classes, but also trendy right now since celebrities such as Taylor Swift have been rocking these kicks lately. In fact,Swift has even collaborated with Keds for her own collection.
All in all, this outfit transitions amazingly well for the unpredictable weather that is happening in the northeast and has potential to be the perfect fall ensemble as well!
