Summer is here and it is not messing around. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to have sunny days back in SoCal, especially since it seemed to be a very gloomy and cold spring. With the newfound heat, however, I realized that my wardrobe is not as ready as I am. I think it is easy to get into the habit of just wearing plain denim shorts with a solid tank top. I needed a bit of inspiration and this Fashionista did just the trick. I spotted her sipping an ice cold shake while wearing a fabulous outfit on a whopping 92-degree day.
For starters, can we talk about her pineapple shorts? Not only was the pattern perfectly sized, but the material was also light and airy making it comfortable to wear. Next, I liked her bold move of wearing a graphic tank instead of a solid one. Since the tank had a simple color scheme, it did not clash with the pattern of the shorts.
Another element that was my favorite was her tote purse. I personally love this particular style tote, and I like how it adds just a touch of class to this youthful and fun outfit. She topped off her look with a perfect ballerina bun and a pair of sparkly flip flops. Oh and don’t forget the sunnies. The sunnies are a total must during a heat wave. This Fashionista is the epitome of SoCal’s laid back style.
One Simple Change: Now that summer is here, I know a day at the beach is in your future. Switch the tote for a straw beach bag instead and you are ready to hit the sandy coast.
