What to Wear

It seems like Tucson’s temperature has jumped several degrees in the past couple of weeks and we are definitely experiencing a heat wave. The number one rule for living in Arizona is being able to throw together a fashionable and comfortable outfit for the warmer weather. Fashionistas are transforming their wardrobes for lightweight dresses and strappy sandals.

This Fashionista is super trendy in her boho-chic ensemble. She has on a simple black dress from Urban Outfitters and a Kimchi red floral blouse layered on top also from Urban Outfitters. This type of layering works for a heat wave because the Kimchi wrap is a light see through fabric that is open in the front. It is nice and breezy. She added her own little twist by tying the Kimchi blouse in the front, which works well with this look.

A number one trend for the spring and summer months are strappy, flat gladiator sandals. There are all types of different gladiator sandals this season and this Fashionista happens to be wearing a black pair from Franco Sarto. I love how her Franco Sarto sandals have thick straps that wrap around the ankle with a chunky buckle. Her bright lavender painted toes really pop against the stark black.

This Fashionista finishes off her look with lots of fun jewelry. From toe rings to bracelets, this Fashionista has a variety of unique jewelry on. My favorite piece she is wearing is the gold elephants bracelet that actually came all the way from Thailand.

You can never go wrong with a great pair of designer sunglasses, especially reflective blue mirrored Ray-Ban aviators that fashionably shield her eyes.

One Simple Change: Ditch the simple black dress for a faux leather skirt and add a black lace bralette underneath the red Kimchi blouse. Swap the Franco Sarto shoes with black wedges and you are ready for those summer night concerts.
