Being a part of a Greek organization, such as a sorority or fraternity, is an exciting time during any college career. It gives a student a chance to feel part of something and instantly have a family. The best part about it is being able to show off your spirit and wear your Greek letters! At James Madison University, every Wednesday of the week, each chapter wears their letters around campus as a way to represent their organization.
When I saw this Fashionista and fellow sorority sister around campus, I loved the way she wore her letters. With the cold weather, the long sleeve shirt is the perfect option. Many campus towns offer stores that make custom-made Greek threads. This way, you can show off your own personality through your custom-made letters! Letters not only symbolize the organization that you are in, but can be paired with just about anything. They are perfect to wear to class, to the library and various campus events.
This Fashionista is also wearing bean boots, the latest trend on the JMU campus. Bean boots are perfect to wear in any kind of weather. They are especially great for cold and wet temperatures. I love how she layers her bean boots with some wool socks – that match her letters too!
One Simple Change: To dress up your letters for a Bid Day event, pair them with a sequin skirt. A sequin skirt can instantly dress up any outfit and would be perfect for a Bid Day event.
