WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

February 12th, 2016 at 2:00am

It’s time to get back into the swing of things and that means studying, odd sleep schedules and for those in Greek life: weekly chapter meetings. This Fashionisto has displayed his way of dressing up for weekly chapter meetings, while keeping it lively and comfortable.

In the words of Miuccia Prada, “Fashion is instant language.” Chapter typically entails meeting with some of your best friends and talking about what is going on for the week. Overall, it’s a time to relax and even after a long week, sitting down for an hour can make all the difference. Dressing the part is also a plus. By dressing up, your confidence level increases so you are really doing yourself and everyone around you a favor.

Sometimes it’s harder said than done when getting dressed up on Sunday, when all you want to do is lay in bed and binge watch your favorite show. To get out of your rut, trade in your favorite, well-worn pair of khakis for colored chinos, especially when welcoming spring in the next few months. February also falls in that awkward ‘is it warm or cold?’ stage, so try layering a button-down shirt with a blazer jacket for a classic look. This Fashionisto used different patterned layers in his look to dress up his flannel shirt.

One Simple Change: Looking to ditch the blazer for a late night study session in the library? Switch it out for a comfortable sweater that can easily be stashed in your backpack. This is a great way to look the part and play it down when needed.
