WHAT TO WEAR: Greek Life

If you’re anything like me, then you hate having to follow a dress code. I was the girl who got detention because the bow on my headband was too big. So, what do you do when you’re required to wear letters? For Greek life, a girl’s letters are a symbol of pride, love and friendship. Just because you’ve got hundreds of hand-me-down T-shirts and sewn on letters in a drawer, doesn’t mean you just have to throw them on with a pair of jeans and call it quits. There are a million ways to style them!

For instance, this little Fashionista took classy and fabulous to a whole new level. Simple blue jeans? A new twist with these adorable Gap polka-dot ones. Don’t be afraid to try denim on denim either! This cute button-down is the perfect length to add a little detail at the bottom, and also the top. A collar sticking out of an ordinary tee is the best way to take it from casual to dressy in one simple step. What’s even better is that this J.Crew one has the tiniest seahorse design on it that makes layering fun. When patterns are all monochromatic, they work. The dots on the jeans, the seahorses and the whales on the actual letters, all work together because they are from the same palate. Plus, what could be more adorable than little whales on your letters, girl?! Jewelry is another way to dress up a T-shirt. This big Kohl’s pearl necklace adds an element of class and glamour to the outfit. Also, the little blue detailing in the gold bracelets ties the whole look together. Another great tip: take a military jacket like this Gap one and keep yourself warm while still being fashionable. They work with everything! Lastly, cuff your jeans at the bottom and add some comfortable loafers for a professional twist on a casual Friday.

One Simple Change: Want to take this look from day to night? Slip off the jeans and put on your favorite flirty skirt. Switch those loafers for heels, and with the right shade of lipstick this look goes from sunrise to sunset!
