WHAT TO WEAR: Graduation

What to Wear

The time is finally here and it feels like just yesterday I was hanging frames to decorate my new room. Even though the past two years feel like two months, I can’t imagine how fast the next two will fly by. I try to avoid talking to seniors about graduation because of the immediate frowns that appear on their faces. As much as I don’t want them to leave, I am happy to congratulate them on their well-deserved graduations!

That being said, graduation time means graduation parties. If there’s one thing I love about summer — its dressing up for day parties. When dressing up to go out at night becomes to dark and sultry, summer days come in calling for flowers and pastels. With siblings, cousins and friends all graduating, I can’t wait to whip out the skirts and dresses.

This Fashionista nails my favorite daytime dress look. When it’s 90-degrees out and your sitting for hours, a fitted dress wont cut it. That’s why I love this flowy tent silhouette! This dress is perfect to dress up or down, but most importantly is an easy, yet flattering style. Graduations can vary from casual brunch to a dinner party with extended family, and this Fashionista is prepared for either path. Her cute nude wedges add the perfect touch of height for the day of festivities! Congratulations class of 2014!

One Simple Change: So maybe it’s not 90-degrees and sunny, and your weather app unfortunately shows a colder climate. This dress can be paired with a fabulous jean jacket or cardigan for those chilly nights outside.
