Every group of girls has their own definition of what a girl’s night out is. It could either be a wild extravaganza of going out on the town, or it could be a quiet night at home with a great movie, splendid company and a huge bowl of popcorn, of course. My ideal girl’s night out is nestled in at a local coffee shop chatting and just enjoying each other’s company.
But no matter what you do, just make sure to get some much needed off-time from your hectic schedule and what may seem like endless lectures! Everyone needs a smidge of rest and relaxation especially if it’s with your girls.
Today’s Fashionista caught my attention with a perfect on-the-go daytime outfit for class that will flawlessly transition into a nighttime outfit even after that pesky evening class. Chambray is a trend that’s here to stay. I feel like it’s just a certain piece that every girl (and guy!) should have in their closets. It always comes in different cuts, frames and washes; it’s one of the must haves for spring. After seeing glimpses of it on the Trina Turk spring 2014 runway, I was hooked.
Her black pants are the ideal basic, and help tie in other touches of black such as her purse, printed headband, belt and fabulous shades. I love this outfit because it’s something you don’t have to try too hard with. It’s just that cool simplicity everyone is fond of.
One Simple Change: Instead of having a cinched waist on a blouse, try it on a solid colored dress like this one from Alexander Wang. It works the same magic: creating the illusion of that perfect hourglass figure.
