WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

July 12th, 2016 at 2:00am

The summer is finally here and you know what that means: sleeping until 12, tanning by the pool, and going out for a night on the town with your friends. As a generation, we have been wearing the same “going out” clothing for years; tight dresses, short skirts and insanely high heels that no one can walk in. It just isn’t practical anymore. That is why I am going to show you how to take a normal everyday romper and turn it into something perfect to wear for a night out with your friends. This Fashionista’s combination of pieces will keep you comfortable and looking fab all night long.

The main part of this Fashionista’s look is a bohemian print romper from Mixology with a low V-neck. It also ties on the side which makes for a great detail. Rompers are one of my go-to pieces  to wear when going out, instead of the normal short and tight dresses, because they give you much more mobility and you don’t have to worry about pulling your dress down all night.

The Fashionista paired the romper with a dainty diamond initial necklace to draw some of the focus upward and balance out the low neckline. She also wore a silver monogram ring to keep with the initial theme and add another accessory layer to the mix. Another key to finding a good girl’s night out outfit is to accessorize: pick new and different pieces that you wouldn’t normally wear to make the outfit memorable and unique.

She paired her romper with these brown leather wedges by Jessica Simpson that I am absolutely obsessed with. The beauty of these wedges is that you can dress them up or dress them down depending on the occasion. For a night out you can pair them with a casual romper, but if you are going to more of a casual event, or even just running errands, they would look great with a pair of jean shorts and a t shirt. That is the key to transforming an outfit from one event to another, keeping versatile pieces in your closet that can be worn to multiple different types of occasions.

One Simple Change: Going on vacation and want a more casual look? Pair the romper with some simple gladiator sandals and you are ready to tan all day and party all night.
