Life in Miami is drastically split into two: day and night. During the day, you do your work thing, make your money, get your education. But as soon as the sun sets, the night life is on. There is no such thing as a weekend when it’s “Ladies Night” every night at all the clubs and bars; which makes it all the more convenient to have a girl’s night out either at the end of a long week or after a surprisingly difficult Monday or both! Today’s Fashionista looked like she was counting down the hours until she could join her female posse for the evening. I found her sitting in the library but as soon as we stepped outside she lite up, something I’m sure would be even more intense and ferocious when under the saturated club lights.
Her aqua colored blouse created a gorgeous highlight to her otherwise all black ensemble. Pixie Market’s coral sorbet top would also be a great alternative and add a dash of sexy with its front mesh panel. Although this Fashionista had on very short shorts her patterned tights and platform sneakers were a great way to transform her outfit from being ultra-sexy to cool and laid-back for a girl’s night out. Tights are a great way to create a more modest and dynamic look without putting on all the sweaty layers. ASOS has some amazing patterned tights currently in prints like flocked roses and black panthers. What really put this outfit over the edge into girl’s night out awesome-ness was her black beanie. Although it may seem simple a black beanie can say a lot such as “No boy’s allowed, I’m out with my girl’s tonight.” So whether you’re going out with your ladies on a Friday night or Monday dress in a way that will make you feel sexy and female empowered because that’s what girl’s night out is really all about.
One Simple Change: Though this Fashionista’s outfit may be funky and wild with one quick change it can become the perfect ensemble for a meeting with the professor. Switch out the high-waisted shorts for a maxi black skirt, this way you don’t lose that personal style statement but create a more modest and school appropriate look.
