WHAT TO WEAR: Girl's Night Out

March 5th, 2015 at 2:00am

On the list of my current fashion favorites is co-ord outfits. There’s always this rule of not being able to wear matching bottoms and tops, but not if it’s done right. I’m pretty sure no one likes to see two different plaid prints trying to battle it out in coordination, but if it’s the same print from top to bottom, and broken up with a few solid pieces, then you have a match made in heaven! Most girls I know enjoy a night out with just the company of each other, getting dressed up and talking about how they can’t believe what Johnny did. It’s those heart-warming moments we live for, while staying warm, as well.

This Fashionista rocks the perfect outfit to show that she’s the Mel B of the group. Her co-ord ensemble has a print that’s just as confusingly awesome as plaid with simple black and white. Again, living in Florida calls for you to winter-fy your summer wardrobe, so she threw on some black tights and this fabulous black trench coat. Even though her coat is a solid, it still adds its flare to the outfit.

Her boots complete the look entirely. I believe that everyone needs a pair of boots that give you life when you slip them on your feet. These are warm, stylish and comfy, which are the three main characteristics of any winter attire. She can also be just as chic in these boots with a pair of dark-wash denim and a slouchy sweater to grab a coffee and run some very fabulous errands.

If you’re ever uncertain about buying that funky co-ord, remember that the Spice Girls didn’t get anywhere by being ordinary. This Fashionista is a extraordinary inspiration! Be the Mel B or the Posh Spice, and own it. So, think about it and tell me what you want, what you really, really want.

P.S. No Johnny’s were harmed in the writing of the article.

One Simple Change: After a wonderful dinner, it’s concert time! The ladies surprised you with some pretty awesome seats to see your favorite band. The concert is outdoors, but this cold weather won’t stop you. Thrown on your leather jacket and your brightest lipstick and the world won’t know what hit ‘em!
