WHAT TO WEAR: Friendsgiving

Our calendars are flipped to November and thankfulness is in the air. This time of year always brings out the best in people, so why not bring out your best look too? There is always something to be thankful for: friends, family and, this month, fall fashion. But before we get to go home to turkey, celebrating with friends is a great excuse to eat something you can’t make in a microwave and to trade out your routine athleisure wear. Friendsgiving may be a little more casual, but still a reason to serve up your best holiday dress(ings). There is no reason you can’t pass the stuffing in style!

This Fashionista’s look balances practicality and fashion. Florals aren’t just for spring, and this dress definitely attests to that. The lavender hue has fall flavor with complementing mustard accents and brass buttons. The dress’ tiered, flowing layers make it easy to move around in, and most importantly, comfortable for lots of hours of story swapping and pie eating. Layering a cream colored cardigan over her dress, our Fashionista adds a dimension of cozy, casualness. Her trendy popcorn knit sweater creates texture and will easily transition to accompany her Black Friday shopping outfit.

Booties are always a yes in my book, and these fringed flats are perfect for holidays. The honey caramel color might match some of the food on the table, while also adding warmth to our Fashionista’s ensemble. Fringe is just fun too! Her simple jewelry pays to tribute to minimalism during the season of giving, and mixing metals adds a sense of rustic and rad vibes.

November may only come around once a year, but there is always something to be thankful for and there is always a new trend to celebrate. So, grab your friends and favorite boots for this year’s Friendsgiving.
