Finals are here! Oh, you didn’t expect to see that statement with an exclamation point? Well finals mean spring break to me, so perhaps you’re starting to get it. During finals, I drink way too much coffee, stay up way too late and wear way too many “grout-fits” (a term my friends coined to describe grey outfits, i.e., sweats). That feeling of having no time to accomplish everything that must get done is all too well known by every college student, but especially those of us who are on the quarter system and have midterms and finals every few weeks. Instead of wearing sweats to post up in the library, this Fashionista shows just how stylish yet comfortable a pair of printed leggings can be.
In the bleak, cold, windy city of Chicago, these leggings stand apart. This Fashionista wears houndstooth printed leggings, with black Dr. Martens and a solid grey coat to keep warm. What I really love about this outfit is how simple she keeps everything else besides her leggings. She wears a black sweater on top, keeping all the attention on her leggings. I love printed leggings, but personally don’t think I could ever pull them off, so I seriously admire when I see a great pair. This Fashionista also chooses simple and similar jewelry to accent her funky outfit. Her boots are absolutely amazing for so many different occasions, but beating the snow in this pair is an easy thing to do with their thick rubber sole. Both stylish and functional, these boots are fantastic. During finals week, the top priority is definitely on comfort, but this outfit proves that comfort doesn’t mean sacrificing personal style. This Fashionista’s personality shines through her outfit, making this the perfect outfit when that extra bit of creative inspiration is needed in the monotonous environment of the library.
One Simple Change: This outfit works great for those heading to an early class, because it’s easy to put together but is pulled together enough that you won’t doze off in class. The only necessary change to make would be adding a backpack to carry all your things in.
