Parkas, parkas, parkas. What other coat is there for the winter season? It seems like any way I turn on Misericordia’s campus I am bound to spot someone in a knee length puffer– and that is not a problem for me! I recently invested in my very own and it was definitely the best before Christmas gift I could have given myself.
While I opted for a standard black jacket, I spotted this Fashionista rocking an army green color which I loved. So, I immediately had to stop and talk to her about her entire ensemble. For the last week on campus she looked more put together than most students I was passing by. After I awed over her awesome jacket, I was able to take in the rest of her look which I enjoyed just as much as the outer layer. She chose a cheetah printed blouse, similar to this one from Nordstrom. She kept the college girl vibe with a pair of standard leggings (I stock up every season from Target). She casually tucked the fitted pants into a pair of ever popular combat boots. While these are also spotted all over college campuses across America I would rather spot these covering everyone’s toes than the same old UGGs. While UGGs are great I keep them strictly aside for shopping trips with mom.
During finals week I am used to seeing hoodies and yoga pants galore so I was glad I found someone still with style in mind. Like me, when I hit the books or awake from a short slumber after a long night in the library I simply choose my glasses over trying to pry my eyes open long enough to pop contacts in. She chose a pair from Calvin Klein that stood out amongst the others.
One Simple Change: To prepare for the chilly weather but still keep this sleek outfit, simply add some cold weather accessories. Anthropologie has a ton of chunky scarves and hats to offer any trendy Fashionista looking to bundle up.
