When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good. That’s my philosophy when it comes to dressing on campus. Even during the most difficult time of the year—exam time—it might be worth it to put in the effort. For some people, like myself, it helps to be more productive and motivated when you have that extra boost of confidence. Yes, sweatpants and hoodies are comfy, but I’m not saying that you have to roam around campus in a ball gown or anything; even a casual T-shirt and your favorite pair of jeans can go a long way. It all depends on how you style it.
I spotted this Fashionista on her way to a final exam, putting her own spin on the classic combo. She rocked a simple white long sleeve top and a pair of boyfriend style jeans but stepped it up a notch with a faux fur collar, bold red lips and gold jewelry. Long sleeve shirts are definitely a wardrobe staple during the winter because they are perfect for layering. Loose denim has also been making a comeback. Fashionistas are embracing the relaxed fit and pairing them with a variety of silhouettes. Leandra Medine, aka the Man Repeller, is often seen wearing baggy jeans and a killer pair of heels. I love how this Fashionista brought out the Timberland boots and thick socks to complete this outfit.
Her accessories gave her casual look a pop of glamor. She mixed edgy and cool with feminine and flirty. My favorite piece is her Scorpio necklace because it shows her personality (literally). Her gold plate chain, jeweled bracelet and gold watch also add the element of bling without going too over-the-top.
One Simple Change: Go from exam mode to a girls’ night out by adding a fun blazer and pair of heels or wedges. Then throw in a sleek clutch or side bag.
