WHAT TO WEAR: Finals

Finals week. Every DePaul student dreads finals week. During finals weeks, your diet becomes junk food, you start hating everything about school and you will sing “We Will Rock You” by Queen over and over. You’re so ready to get out of the library and go straight to swimming and tanning on a beach. Relaxation is all one can think about. Finals week is full of sweatpants and big sweatshirts. Listen up, Fashionistas/os. The best thing you can do to survive finals week is wear comfortable yet fashionable clothes. “If you dress fabulous, you will feel fabulous,” is the motto that helps me ace all of my tests. You need to walk into your final projects knowing that people are viewing you as style perfection. So, throw away your sweatpants and sweatshirts and put on some rocking clothes in order to rock your tests.

This college Fashionista struts her stuff while wearing this simple white button-down blouse from Urban Outfitters . It’s cozy (and beyond comfortable) which will come in handy when she’s writing her many papers. She pairs the blouse with Goodwill Levi Jeans which she cut into jean shorts—like any true Fashionista. The beautiful French braid in her sun kissed hair and her bright magenta lips against her pale skin make this a perfect, yet cozy, finals week look.

Her look is both extremely comfortable and casual during a few hours of grueling study, but if she needed to grab a bite to eat, she would be fully prepared to strut around the busy streets of Chicago. She accessorized with two lightly detailed rings and white Vans for comfort, complete with round Ray-Ban sunglasses to add a hipster, edgy vibe.
Light accessory details are essential for completing this look.

One Simple Change: At the end of finals week, the hot Chicago summer will be in full swing. A weather-friendly variation would be switching out the long sleeve Urban Outfitters shirt with a loose white tank top. You can additionally ditch the Vans sneakers for some black strappy gladiator sandals. This will complete your warm end of finals week look. If you want to change this from a day to night look, simply add a cute black blazer over the white shirt and you are ready to hit the town for a night full of style and spunk.
