It’s definitely that time of year again. Summer can mean a million different things, but one thing that many of us are looking forward to is festival season! Bring on the boho looks all summer long ladies. This includes huge flower head bands, vivid kimonos, floppy hats, fedoras, high-waisted pants/shorts, capes, floral camis, combat boots, round sunglasses and of course head scarfs. These are all red-hot festival accessories and apparel that we will be seeing all summer long. This Fashionista is starting off the festival boho trend right here at the University of Mississippi. And, I must say she looks festival fab!
This Fashionista decided to sport one of the hottest looks currently in Oxford, MS. The women college students here in the South just simply adore floral kimonos. She wears a vibrant floral kimono from Miss Behavin Boutique in Oxford, and pieces over another Miss Behavin embroidered cream crop top. The two tops together look so flawless! Even though summer is all about showing some skin, it is totally okay and super fashionable to cover it up with a light kimono!
Working our way down her outfit, we see some stellar high-waisted shorts by Urban Outfitters with some pockets peeping out! The dark wash jean shorts give the look a more standout tone, and make her kimono pop out! Of course, this Ole Miss Rebel also keeps her appearance sweet and southern by wearing some tan Jack Rogers “Hamptons” Thong Sandals and a simple gold Texas necklace. Her look may be boho fun, but us Oxford girls still need a little of the South with us at all times. Lastly, she adds a turquoise rock statement necklace that totally completes the free-spirit vibe!
One Simple Change: To go from festival to school banquet, switch out the crop top and shorts with a loose fitted dress. Then, place the floral kimono on top of the dress! There you have it, appropriate school banquet attire!
