It’s the middle of summer and it’s time to pick out your festival outfits and get into the summer festival mood! Festival fashion has become a really big deal over the past few years. The charming atmosphere along with some of your favorite artists under the hot summer sun is literally all you need to let your inner style shine through.
Take it from this Fashionista whose look is very simple, but chic at the same time. I always like to think that less is more. And in this case, it is. When you go to a festival, you don’t want to be traditional. You want to be comfortable in your own skin, run wild and free and represent your own style and personality.
This Fashionista is wearing a black and white stripe crop top, red overall shorts, black and red low-top Converse and peace symbol earrings. She purchased her crop top from American Apparel. Crop tops are an ever-growing trend this summer. She purchased her Converse from DSW. I think Converses were a good choice of shoes because when you’re at a festival, ninety percent of the time you’re going to be on your feet. Converses are not only classic, but comfortable too. Her appealing tattoos gives us a glimpse of her life and what she’s into (fashion, of course). Who said tattoos can’t be accessories? Her red overall shorts were originally pants, but this Fashionista customized them herself (cool points!). The peace symbol earrings are very simplistic but they make a huge statement. She purchased the red overalls and the earrings from a thrift store. I personally think thrifting is a great place to find festival wear because there’s so much vintage and cool pieces you probably can’t find anywhere else. You want to be a showstopper when you go to a festival. This Fashionista is going to show up and have the time of her life in this festival outfit.
One Simple Change: After the festival, this Fashionista is going to want to be out with her friends. I would swap out the Converses for a pair of sleek red oxfords.
