This week’s Fashionista is a Scranton native who recently studied abroad in Ireland! Last spring semester, along with taking classes, she added stylish European pieces to her wardrobe. Some of the clothing she bought, she is wearing today. This outfit is perfect for music festival. Spring is here and summer is shortly coming; and with summer we welcome music festivals. Together let us admire this amazing festival outfit.
In this outfit, this Fashionista combines a European black sweater with a black bodycon skirt. She adds a dark olive green button up and finishes off the outfit with black tights and a grey and white pattern circle scarf. I absolutely love this scarf. For similar styles, check out H&M and Urban Outfitters. Even though it is Spring, there are several lightweight scarf styles perfect for warmer weather. According to Playing With Scarves, scarves are definitely a spring 2013 trend you must try. Check out this post where they show many runway looks that incorporate scarves. My favorite is Ralph Lauren; he combines and beautifully meshes together French and Spanish inspiration. However Altuzarra’s models wear their scarves very similar to this stylish Fashionista.
Besides the beautiful scarf, this outfit isn’t complete without her boots. We spent a good part of our conversation talking about what a great pair of black boots do for a college wardrobe. Black boots are so versatile. You can wear them like this Fashionista with a bodycon skirt or you can wear them with jeans, maxi skirt or even demin shorts…the outfits are limitless. Check out Journey’s for a similar style.
One Simple Change If you are like this Fashionista, you want to know other ways you can style these black boots for a different occasion. These boots are perfect for running errands. Instead of the bodycon skirt, wear a dark pair of blue jeans or a black pair of jeans. But since the weather is getting better try these black boots with a pair of demin shorts. Until next time, happy spring!
