WHAT TO WEAR: Fall in Love With Your Wardrobe

Are you having a hard time transitioning your wardrobe for the upcoming season? You’re not alone! Here in Texas the ninety degree weather will make you rethink any sweater, boots or fuzzy cardigan you want to wear so badly. What is one to do when your heart says blanket scarf, but the heat index says tank top and flip-flops? Well, you find alternate means of conforming! One of the easiest ways to do this is to darken your wardrobe’s color palette. Trade in those neons and pastels for warm, bold colors associated with (what are supposed to be) cold, later months. Just by doing this you can continue to wear your favorite pieces from the summer, while emitting autumn vibes.

Here in my featured look we have my roommate in her 21st birthday outfit. The best part of this style is that it is so versatile and can be worn for a night out, date night or just running errands for the day! This adorable top was found at a local boutique here in College Station. The fringe detail down the sides and open back make it a super fun piece. The cut and color would not normally be the best choice when trying to change looks for the upcoming season, but when paired with the olive suede skirt it completely changes the ambience of the outfit! Suede skirts are one of the hottest upcoming trends and with good reason. This specific skirt can be found at Versona online or at your local store. To tie the entire look together she threw on a homemade wrap choker inspired by this necklace on Baublebar, and her favorite pair of slingback booties. I think we can all agree she was able to pull off a great fall look even when the heat would typically not allow it. This season don’t let the weather stop you from embracing all the good things fall has to offer, especially your favorite fashions! Until next time Fashionistas!
