WHAT TO WEAR: Fall Classes

Rainy, windy and cold days have rolled around again and between hours of long lectures and hardcore test taking, you’re going to want something with maximum comfort and warmth. Well here is some good news! You can have all of this AND stay fashionable.

The secret is in the layers. As a friend of mine recently pointed out, the best layered looks start out with a very simple base outfit. For this reason, it’s always good to have some basic pieces laying in your closet. You don’t want to go crazy with whats underneath because it is the layers that are going to be adding the interest for you! Start out with something that perhaps anyone on campus would wear (aka the comfort) and then add the layers (aka the warmth and style) for a look that is unique to you. This Fashionisto excels at this and so I wanted to show off one of his looks to all of you.

He paired a comfortable flannel with some basic twill pants and added a sweatshirt cardigan as his statement layering piece. The trendy skater shoe adds an instant level of comfort and style to finish off the look. And that’s all there is to it! His outfit is simple but absolutely perfect for fall classes.

Need to change this look from day to night? Switch out the cardigan for a simple leather or bomber jacket for another layer of warmth and style. Throw on a cool hat and you’re ready to go!
