WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Fall is a magical time on the campus of University of Delaware. Here in Newark, the leaves are changing colors, the air is a little crisper and pumpkin spiced lattes can be spotted at every street corner. However, the transition from fall to winter is slower than the New England States, but faster than the Southern states. So, that leaves Delaware in the middle—stuck between summer, fall and winter simultaneously. So you may ask yourself, how does one prepare for this wild mix of weather?

Long sleeves and shorts are the best solution to this problem—better yet, a long sleeved romper! The cotton material of this romper makes it both breathable and provides protection from the chilly fall mornings that come with college. What I loved about this particular Fashionista’s long sleeved romper was the vibrant colors and bold pattern. In Fashion, we assume that fall automatically means “neutral.” Typical colors of fall are red, green and yellow. I would have to politely disagree and say more colors than that can be implemented into fall—tastefully, of course. The gold necklace and bracelets pair nicely with the Fashionsita’s outfit by bringing out the fall colors that are more familiar to the season (gold and brown). Next time I am looking to get some inspiration for fall I will definitely be taking a few notes from this look.

One Simple Change: Ditch the crochet slip-ons for a cute pair of booties. This will instantly make the romper perfect to wear for a girl’s night out!
