WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Hello again, Fashionistas! It’s been a crazy three weeks here at Syracuse as I begin my freshman year. From late night study sessions, to Netflix marathons, to hanging out in my dorm room, I have been busy adjusting to my new life as a real-life “college Fashionista.” Just as I have transitioned, there is one other factor that has also began to transition– the weather.

As we bid farewell to shorts, tank tops and all things summer, it is time to replace our trusted romper or sun dress with, you guessed it, sweaters, boots, jeans and other fall accessories (and yes, this includes the signature PSL in hand). As I promised in my previous post, I have had my eye out looking for the latest trends around campus—and I found one that I think you’ll love as much as I do!

This week, in honor of my first official post, I thought I would start off with a simple, classic style. This Fashionista is ready for fall in a loose, comfortable black and white knit sweater. She dresses up her casual outfit by pairing her sweater and leggings combo with leather riding boots. Personally, I believe that riding boots add a preppy touch to any outfit and are perfect for making any casual look appear more professional and while also remaining comfortable and laid back. This look is perfect for a casual dinner, class, meeting and basically anywhere else on campus!

Even more impressive, however, are here accessories. With her funky gold bangles on her wrist, she easily dresses up the outfit and looks sophisticated yet youthful.

This look is really effortless and is definitely one I recommend when you don’t want to appear as exhausted as you may actually be. It is easy, simple and is waiting for you to rock this season! Until next time!

One Simple Change: To make this look go from day to night, throw on a pair of chunky heels to elongate the legs and dress up the look. Also, feel free to wear a necklace with this look, whether a long, simple chain or a couple of layered ones. Happy styling!
