WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

It’s finally here! The season of warm colors, chunky knit sweaters, military-inspired jackets, distressed dark-wash denim and of course, boots of all shapes and sizes. And you can’t forget about the hot apple cider, cuddling with cozy blankets, watching old Halloween movies and baking yummy pumpkin treats. Fall is the perfect medium between Indiana’s blazing hot summers and terribly freezing winters. With a touch of summer breeze still left in the air, fall is the absolute best weather to dress for on campus. You get the best of both worlds. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold. The transition from summer to fall calls for some of the best street style spotted at Indiana University.

This Fashionista pairs a sophisticated, neutral flare T-shirt dress with thigh-high socks that show out of a pair of sleek, black Dr. Martens boots. The ’90s are back, baby, and they are not going anywhere! I love seeing the influences all around campus from this killer decade. I’m obsessed with the statement her thigh-high socks add to her outfit. Layering fun socks with your traditional boot definitely adds a little extra to any ensemble. It’s totally functional and fabulous! Oh, and you can’t forget about the sunnies. Cat-eye sunglasses are all the rage right now and can always add a little bit of sass into your look.

One Simple Change: A little bit chilly? Add a faux fur jacket to keep you warm and take your outfit into the colder nights of the fall season.
