WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

Happy October! Last Wednesday marked the first day of autumn. Fall is all about pumpkin flavored desserts, pies, chunky knitted sweaters, boots and an episode of Gilmore Girls every night. I love fall and I am so excited for the holidays that are just around the corner, Halloween and Thanksgiving! I can’t wait to go pumpkin picking and start carving a scary face on it. Let’s not forget the movies that will begin playing such as Halloweentown I, II and III, Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice and Scream.

First, let’s check out how this Fashionista is styling her looks this month. Just by her outfit, one can pretty much assume how the weather is. Since we are at the beginning of the season, I thought this Fashionista wore an outfit that perfectly demonstrates the beginning of fall but one can still feel a little bit of that summer breeze in the air. She wore a pair of shorts with a black knitted sweater and Jeffrey Campbell ankle boots. These boots are modern and trendy, perfect shoes to begin a look for fall fashion. Her outfit is also great for class because it is comfortable, simple and classic. She is also sporting dark colors which is always a start of a colder season.

There’s a quote from, Anne of Green Gables, that goes perfect with this moment, “I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” Well, readers, I hope you all have a wonderful October full of pies and joy. See you next month. Stay cozy.

One Simple Change:  On your way to brunch? No worries, just add a statement necklace and switch the tote bag to a cute clutch and you are all set for your eggs benedict.
