WHAT TO WEAR: Fall

September 15th, 2015 at 2:10am

Summer is over and soon that beautiful bronze you spent hours on the beach for will be gone, as well. As depressing as that sounds, just because your time will be spent in class instead of in the sun, doesn’t mean you have to throw your favorite tank tops in a box labeled “until next time.” Here’s how you can combine your favorite summer staples with fall!

Crop tops are everywhere this summer. Whether it was at a festival or at a coffee shop, girls were flaunting their midriffs any chance they could get. I love the look this Fashionista decided to go with. Her crop top from Zara has undertones of light gray that go perfectly with her flared pants. Her monochromatic style pairing black, grey and white is something I see around campus (and around Helsinki) on a daily basis. The ’70s are coming back and it’s seen all over runways showcasing 2015 fall looks. From button-front denim skirts to flared trousers: H&M, Zara, Topshop, Calvin Klein and more are deeply invested into details from this decade.

The Fashionista’s wide leg gray pants from Forever 21 tie into the minimalistic version of what is seen on the runways and give her an elegant look. Live in a city where the nights are chilly is the perfect excuse to wear a bomber jacket. The one this Fashionista is wearing is simply RAD. The length, texture and color go with almost any outfit making it a purchase you won’t regret. ASOS has an amazing selection of bomber jackets that are on sale now. Finally, pair the look with your trustworthy Birkenstocks that have all of your favorite summer memories attached to it, along with some vintage  bohemian jewelry and rounded sunnies.

One Simple Change: Want to take this outfit to your favorite bar or restaurant this weekend? Take this look from day to night by ditching the Birkenstocks and opting for your favorite high-heels. Tie your hair up in a high ponytail, add earrings and a dark plum lipstick. Then, have some fun and tell all your friends you found this look at CollegeFashionista!
