Living in the mid-west we have the pleasure of experiencing extreme heat in the summer, and teeth chattering cold front that winter brings. That can only mean one thing, and that’s that we need double the wardrobe than say someone living in So-Cal that gets to live in a comfortable 70 degrees year round. Well, at least that’s how I try to convince myself that my overflowing closet is okay, and “normal.”
Now don’t go packing away all of your sundresses up just yet, you can still get some great use out of your favorites when you style them like this Fashionista did. This Fashionista pairs one of her favorite white lace dresses with a striped sweater layered overtop. The mixing of patterns gives a fashion forward look. She makes the look even more fall appropriate by layering a leather jacket over the sweater, and pairing the look with a great pair of leather knee-high boots. This Fashionista is all set to run all over the town checking off tasks on her busy to do list before the weekend starts. This is a great outfit to do just that, because its comfortable and effortlessly trendy.
She pairs very simple jewelry that is fool proof. A pair of pearls and a fun statement ring that she thrifted from a local vintage shop adds just enough flair, not to mention a great conversation starter
One Simple Change: Swap out the boots for a pair of ballet flats and switch the sweater, leather jacket combo for a bright colored blazer. You’ve instantly transformed a little white dress into a wearable look for an internship or class presentation!
