WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

The sudden approach of the new school year means a stressful amount of running errands, whether it be moving in, finding supplies for your new apartment or rather more pleasantly, hitting up the mall for your back-to-school wardrobe. While you may have the urge to stick to running shorts and a T-shirt, your outfit can also be anything but ordinary. Having a comfortable, versatile and personalized outfit like this Fashionista is the way to go when your to-do list starts to grow (yes, I made that up on the spot).

This Fashionista not only chose a gorgeous design for her pajama pants, but also they look so comfortable that I had the urge to go and buy some for myself. Also, I truly admire how she pulls off those loafers with ease. Some people may think they look a little tacky, but, like this Fashionista, sometimes all you need is a little confidence to wear rock your favorite pair of classic shoes. This ensemble is a perfect example of how the balance between tight and loose fitting pieces adds even more possibilities to your outfit selection, presenting the opportunity to utilize all of your most comfortable pants (and as college students, that is a HUGE plus). On the subject of color, the complement between the vibrant purple and red-orange patterns and matching of the tan-brown shoes and satchel establishes an expressive color scheme reflective of her personal taste, which I absolutely love. The adorable addition of the scarf around her satchel is another fun detail that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of—this goes back to the suggestion that you shouldn’t avoid showing off your personal taste, even when styling a casual outfit. There’s so much room for creativity!

One Simple Change: Got a hot date but can’t seem to want to change out of your pajama pants? No worries, you can still stay as comfortable as possible while you look stunning – try wearing dainty strapped heels and a cardigan or kimono cover up to add and graceful silhouette.
