WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

One thing I have learned upon reaching my mid-twenties, is that Peter Pan had the right idea, never grow up! Weekdays are dedicated to school and work, and our few days off are dedicated to scheduling appointments and running those errands we have been putting off. Have no fear! Just because we are adults, and have certain obligations, doesn’t mean we can’t use this time to our advantage. That time for being responsible can shift easily into a fashion opportunity.

I spotted this Fashionista wearing the perfect outfit for running around town. Her comfy knee-high boots and socks provide the perfect shoe for running errands and doing plenty of walking. She threw on a worn white T-shirt and a drapey cardigan to emphasize the comfort level. Her feminine, ponte skirt helps balance the casual oversized feel by emphasizing her figure. This Fashionista had the right idea utilizing the comfort factor, if we have a list of things we need to get done, the last thing we want is a wardrobe malfunction or to be uncomfortable. However, fashion is all about balance. By throwing on this form fitting skirt, she gave off the perfect refined and trendy, yet casual look.

One Simple Change: I don’t know about you, but more often than not, I completely lose track of time. I am off in my own world, thinking of the things I have to get done and forget all about the fact that I was supposed to meet my friends for dinner. This can be a problem if I’m caught in a rather dull outfit when going home to change is simply out of the question. We can easily take this Fashionista’s ensemble from a day to night look. Swap the cardigan for a flashy moto-jacket, and throw on a pair of heeled booties. If it’s cold, leave the cardigan, and throw the jacket over it for a cute grunge, layered look.
