WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

June 24th, 2015 at 2:00am

As the summer months set in and the stress of the academic year finally wears off, many of us college students fall into the lovely lull of lazy summer days. However, one downside to being back home for the summer are the parents who pull you out of the summer haze to run the never ending list of errands. As college students, it may be easy to fall into the lazy routine of wearing athletic shorts and flip flops out the door, so it is always extremely refreshing to find a well dressed Fashionista out running errands.

This Fashionista’s easy breezy outfit is the perfect thing to throw on last minute before running out the door. She is not sacrificing her own personal style for comfort with a loose jumpsuit with strategically placed cutouts. Everything ’70s is making a comeback this summer, with culottes and tunic-like tops dotting every storefront. As such, rompers are coming back full force as well. They can be found in every color and pattern, from bold floral prints to dark geometric patterns, there is something for every style.  This Fashionista accents her statement romper with a beachy black bag which is perfect match to her scrappy black sandals. Overall, this dark summer look channels the grunge era from the ’90s, with fashion icons such as Gwen Stefani and Courtney Love as inspiration.

One Simple Change: After you are done running all the errands under the sun and are ready to head out for the night, it is easy to elevate this summery look for the evening. Simply swap the sandals for a pair of black strappy heels and snag a more structured bag to bring this look to another level.
