Sometimes being a college student is hard work. In between balancing school and your social life, you have to find time to make that necessary trip to the grocery store (that you’ve been putting off for days), picking up dry cleaning, mailing bills and so on. Before you know it, you have a five sticky notes full of errands to run on a sunny Saturday. But just because you’re out and about, doesn’t mean you can’t dress in accordance to the beautiful spring weather we’ve been getting here in Oxford, Mississippi.
Floral pants are all the rage this spring, which is what caught my eye about this Fashionista. She donned a pair of muted, floral denim pants that are ideal to wear while checking things off your long list of errands. One of the things I love about spring (besides the warm weather) is getting to bring out all of my pastels colors again, just like the ones in these jeans. This Fashionista added an additional pop of color with her mint top. One great thing about floral jeans that are more muted and understated, is that you can incorporate more colors that aren’t even featured in the jeans, yet they still blend seamlessly. They key is staying within the pastel color scheme.
One of my favorite parts about this Fashionista’s outfit are her shoes. Oxfords give off a very feminine, modern-vintage vibe that I believe goes well with any outfit. Just take Taylor Swift. for example. She has paired her oxfords with pants, sundresses and even high-waisted shorts. They’re versatile and great for running around town on a sunny afternoon.
One Simple Change: Spring is the perfect time for outdoor concerts and festivals in Oxford. To make this look a little dressier, swap the oxfords for a pair of fun wedges and bring a long a dark denim jacket for the cooler weather at night.
