WHAT TO WEAR: Errands

Summer is always a busy time year full of all sorts of running around, so whether it be a trip to the grocery store to pick up all the supplies for a barbeque,or going to get the nanny kids from day camp, this simple look featuring easy pieces and a fresh color palette is perfect for summer errands.

This Fashionista’s look starts off with a breezy asymmetrical top with peach and white stripes ideal for a busy summer day. Exposed seam detailing along the back of the shirt, as well as its angled edge, are great new twists to the classic tee shirt that make this look all the more interesting. Seeing as Minnesota summers are known for their varying temperatures, slightly distressed medium wash jeans cuffed at the ankle are perfect for those cooler summer days. Walkable footwear is a necessity for running errands, so this Fashionista’s choice in tan suede Birkenstocks are easy and appropriate for the occasion.

Small details in the outfit such as kate spade stud earrings aren’t too aggressive but add just the right amount of sparkle and shine that accessories are supposed to do. Also dawned discreetly on our Fashionista’s wrist is a Fitbit with a dusty blue band so when all her errands are over she can see just how busy she was that day. Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses finish off the look and are sure to get plenty of use on a day of running summer errands, be it driving with the sun in your eyes or shopping around outside.

A large purse or tote is another necessity for days that have plenty of running around. Not only do large bags have room for your to do lists, but also for water bottles, snacks in between stops, and anything else you might need. This Fashionista’s choice of a navy Rebecca Minkoff tote which is no longer available but we found another tote here. Navy is a great bag color because it can work through all the seasons, not just summer.

This ensemble’s easy breezy peach and white T-shirt, practical navy jeans and purse and comfy tan shoes all come together to form that perfect summer errand look with that perfect summer palette.
