What to Wear

It’s spring break and for those of you who are like me and decided on a stay-cation instead of a vacation, you might be spending this week playing catch-up. I’ve been catching up on sleep, school work and errands. Utilizing your free time to run errands can be a great way to spend your break. I know that whenever I come home from school I spend a good amount of time doing doctors appointments, haircuts and checking things off my to-do list. Even though errands and appointments aren’t the most fun way to spend your spring break, I know that the more I can accomplish during my time off, the more relaxed, refreshed and motivated I feel when I return to school.

While running around my hometown this week, I spotted this Fashionista who was sporting the perfect outfit for doing errands. She was rocking a pair of green colored leggings. Colored leggings have the same effect on an outfit that colored denim do, but with added comfort. They are a fun way to add color to an outfit and they are also extremely versatile. She was also wearing this striped cardigan with fringe on the bottom from Forever 21. The cardigan is a perfect choice for running errands because it’s a great way to cover up during this unpredictable “swinter” we are currently experiencing in the Midwest. The fringe takes the cardigan from a classic piece to a trendy statement piece because it gives it a hippie ’70s vibe. She completes the look with a simple white tank top and a pair of Hunter rain boots that are a stylish way to defend against the elements. Overall, the Fashionista showed that by combining simple pieces that are trendy and have visual interest, you can create a stylish and comfortable look to run errands in.

One Simple Change: Take the cardigan from day to night by wearing it with a cute mini dress, some bold jewelry and a pair of wedge booties.
