We’ve probably all learned the hard way that we can, and will, run into just about anybody while running errands. To avoid that awkward moment of seeing your crush while you’re wearing your pajamas in public, you should always have a few cute and comfortable outfits to choose from. I spotted a Fashionista on campus dressed in a monochromatic ensemble that would be ideal for running errands.
This Fashionista wore a pair of black corduroy overalls that I immediately fell in love with. Overalls have been a big trend this year as we experience a ’90s fashion revival, and they are really fun to style. This trend was particularly popular for the spring and summer months, but they have also transitioned nicely to the fall season.
Over top of her overalls, this Fashionista wore a black leather jacket. A jacket similar to this one is a necessity to your college wardrobe because it can be worn many different ways for many different occasions. She also wore a matching pair of black ankle booties. This type of boot looks great paired with a leather jacket because it creates a motorcycle chic look.
To add some print to this monochromatic outfit, she wore a camouflage T-shirt underneath her overalls. I think that a camouflage-print piece was the best choice. It was subtle, just as camo print should be, but it was still a great addition to her look.
She wore dark nail polish on her nails that looked black from far away, but up close it was a pretty shade of royal blue. On her fingers she wore many different rings—which are always a great choice for jewelry—and a single bracelet.
This Fashionista was set for a a busy day in her simple outfit that still showed off her great sense of style. If you’ve been searching for a way to wear overalls in the fall, or for something stylish to wear while running errands of your own, take note of her unique outfit!
One Simple Change: For an outfit that would be great to wear to out to brunch, switch the camouflage T-shirt with a bright long sleeved top.
