What to Wear

Oftentimes, when I find myself with a long list of miscellaneous chores and errands to tackle all within the course of 24 hours, I attempt what I’ve coined “casual chic:” messy top knot, some leggings and an over-sized top or sweater of sorts. While this has the potential to look effortlessly charming, I usually end up looking like I just woke up from a five year coma then witnessed a bank robbery. (Note to self: I should probably re-coin this “disheveled mess.”)

While trying to hold onto your comfort on busy and stressful days, it’s almost too easy to fall into the trap of UGGs and yoga pants, but this Fashionista demonstrates that tackling a full day can easily be done while looking clean cut and structured.

While dark and neutral tones are something we tend to see rather frequently in the winter months, winter coats are usually dominated by black or dark blues. This Fashionista opted for a tan coat, which is able to pop when paired with her black scarf, both necessary items during this mini ice age we’ve been experiencing. Sticking with a neutral palette, she also dons a black skirt with black tights — a perfect way to bring a summer essential into your winter wardrobe. Her boots are also practical for a day of running around A2, but they also make the whole look pop with their rusty brown color.

So the next time you find yourself with a nonstop day, remember this Fashionista and keep it polished and practical!

One Simple Change: Swap out the flat boots for a pair of heeled booties for a winter’s night out!
