Once again we have entered into the long months of studying and have said our farewells to the relaxing summer. Back at school, the last question on all of our minds is “What do I wear to class? Rather it’s: “When’s the next assignment due?” It’s easy to let our daily routine of sleep, eat, class and study clutter our minds. After pulling an all-nighter at the library, I’m sure we have all fallen a victim to the “yoga-pants, loose T-shirt, sneakers and messy bun” look for the following morning.
When I saw this Fashionista on campus, I would have never guessed that she pulled an all-nighter the night before. The main concept and trend of her look is comfort. This Fashionista embodies both comfort and style with her high-waisted gray satin trousers. All it takes is one or two bold statement pieces—like this Fashionista’s necklace and trousers—to give your outfit that wow factor.
Because we live in the Sunshine State, choosing footwear can often become a bit of a conundrum. A great way to stay comfortable and still retain an element of style is with classic flip flops. They’re lightweight, breathable and can be worn with everything from jeans to shorts. If you were to break down this Fashionista’s outfit, it basically only consists of a plain black tank top, trousers, a necklace and Birkenstocks. That is the equivalent number of pieces as the “yoga-pants, loose T-shirt, sneakers and messy bun” look and probably the same level of comfort. Surprise, surprise.
As you walk out the door for your early class, grab a pair of sunglasses and no one will ever guess that you pulled an all-nighter the night before! In my eyes, if you can master the early class chic style, then you can master any style.
One Simple Change: After long day of classes, instead of changing your entire outfit, you can simply just change your footwear. Throw on a pair of flats or wedges, and you’re on your way to a lovely dinner on Park Avenue!
