WHAT TO WEAR: Early Class

What to Wear

As the alarm goes off yet again, you decide that if you push the snooze button one more time you will miss class all together. As you scramble to find some breakfast and the assignment you have due that morning, the last thing on your mind is what you are going to wear. All you care about is being comfortable and looking presentable (enough) to make it to this class.

Believe it or not, you can wake up with just a couple of minutes to spare but not look like you did. Comfortable chic is the new black and our Fashionista this week pulled together a comfortable, effortless look that uses the latest trends.

As we all know, there is nothing I love more than a maxi skirt and to make it even better a high-waisted maxi skirt. I could ramble on for hours about all the benefits of a maxi skirt. The fact that this particular one is also high-waisted works because it creates a higher waistline illusion, which makes the legs appear to be longer. It is made out of cotton, which is comfort’s best friend and black is always a timeless color.

She then added another trend that has been more recent but coming into the fashion world with a bang. Since the shirt is high-waisted she then wore a gray crop top. This combination has to be one of my favorites of the season as well. The top is also cotton, which ensures comfort and the peek-a-boo space that shows a little skin that creates a feminine aspect. Crop tops come in so many different cuts and styles. there is sure to be a favorite for everyone. From tank to short sleeve to long sleeve, this trend is a great spring piece that will carry into summer. The crop top our Fashionista is wearing has jeweled detailing to create dimension and sparkle.

To finish off this look, she paired the skirt with some basic sandals and some fun large lens sunglasses. She also utilized more accessories by adding some midi finger rings and some classic finger rings.

Waking up early is always hard, but picking a stylish outfit now doesn’t have to be. It is still possible to get those last five minutes of sleep, be comfortable and show your class that even in the morning, you can be a Fashionista. With both of these popping trends, no one will ever think you put it together at the last minute.

One Simple Change: If skirts are not your style, try wearing the crop top with a high-waisted denim. Denim makes the look more casual and functional that can be great for a night out with the girls.
