WHAT TO WEAR: Day to Night

This Fashionista has mastered day to night minimalist dressing. I mean, come on! Her outfit is so incredibly chic! She looks like she should be gracing the cover of Vogue. Everything is working from her messy top bun to her Converse high-tops. She paired her Abercrombie & Fitch faux leather wrap skort with a blue and white stripe Hollister Co. button-down for a classic-meets-trendy juxtaposition. This type of skort has been in style for a year or two now and I don’t think it will be going away anytime soon. I remember first seeing it at Zara and on the runway and now it has sort of trickled down into mainstream fashion. I also love how she knotted the striped shirt to make it into a DIY crop top—such a clever idea! Why buy something new when you can get experimental with clothes you already own?

This outfit can easily go from day to night. The sneakers add a casual touch while the wrap skort and button-down feel a bit more dressed up. I know I’d feel like a fierce professional boss lady wearing it! Outfits that can work for any time of day are perfect for our busy lifestyles. There’s no need to run home and change before a fun night out. This look does it all!

One Simple Change: Okay, so you have to run home before you head out for the night. While you’re there, switch out your sneakers for a pair of strappy heeled sandals. Don’t forget to bring the sneakers in case your feet need a break after a long night of dancing and walking around town. As Vanessa Hudgens said in her 2008 toe-tapping song, “Yeah, that’s right it’s sneaker night!”
