WHAT TO WEAR: Day To Night

As college students, we know the true meaning of the word busy. Days can be hectic, and we often find ourselves running from place to place trying to do everything. Well, who says you can’t? Today’s Fashionista shows you how simple it can be to put together an outfit that can be transitioned perfectly from day to night, making picking out an outfit one less than to worry about.

This Fashionista’s outfit is a perfect mix of casual and elegant pieces; all it takes is a few quick changes to take this look from relaxed to dressy in seconds. Our Fashionista’s casual white tank top features some cool distressing, perfect for everyday activities. She added a black lace halter-style tank top underneath, which peaks out and adds a cool feminine touch to the outfit while also making it appropriate for class or the workplace. She gave this look some edge by pairing it with some black leather pants; the iridescent fabric of the pant adds interest to the outfit along with being a great transition piece that work day or night. She paired the look with stacked gold bangles and a beautiful gold wristwatch, which dress up the outfit in a classic and sophisticated way. She added some gold aviators, another classic piece that keep the outfit casual for daytime. Her black tote bag with gold detailing is a great addition to the look, as it has an adjustable strap that is another great transition piece. Keeping the strap long and wearing the bag in a cross-body style makes the outfit look laid-back during the day; while using the short, chain strap gives the look a dressier, chic look that is perfect for the night. She finished off the look with some gorgeous strappy, cage heels which give the ensemble a final pop of sophistication.

One Simple Change: To make this ensemble more casual for a relaxed day, simply switch out the leather pants with some plain, black pants, throw on a cardigan or jean jacket and opt for flat sandals. Quick and easy changes like this can completely transform an outfit. Next time you’re in a time crunch, try to keep the outfit as simple and classic as possible; adding jewelry and throwing on a pair of heels can get you back out the door in seconds. Who says you can’t do it all?
