WHAT TO WEAR: Day To Night

So, it’s a gorgeous spring day and you can’t wait to hang out with friends right after class. Although, the problem is that you don’t have much time to go home and completely change outfits. That’s where day to night outfits come in handy.

I spotted this Fashionista on campus and immediately appreciated her acid-wash joggers and camel-colored flats. The look was casual and perfect for class, especially with the plain white T-shirt and light utility jacket paired with the rest of the look. The best thing about this outfit, though, was the versatility of it. There is so much potential to take this look from casual classroom attire to a fun, stylish going-out look.

The neutral colors of this Fashionista’s look help in its casualness. The light jacket and camel-colored flats pay homage to the fast-approaching warm weather, while the pants give a nod to one of the hottest trends at the moment: joggers. I’ve noticed that girls can be intimidated by joggers, and I think it’s partially because they can be difficult to look feminine. But this Fashionista proves it’s completely possible to rock joggers in a cute, laid back way.

Her layered necklaces added detail to her outfit and would still be great accessories if the look was taken from class to downtown. Speaking of taking this look downtown, it’d be a breeze to swap out the shirt or the shoes and instantly create a chic, fun going-out look.

One Simple Change: For a low-key girl’s night out, this Fashionista could throw on a white crop top and ditch the jacket for a kimono. The flats could still work with that look, but if she wants to get dressier, the Fashionista could replace them with a pair of booties.
