Let’s be honest, even Fashionistas like us spend way too much time and money on our closets. I’m a firm believer in choosing a good selection of pieces that work for multiple occasions. Creating an outfit that can function from day to night is like hitting the fashion jackpot. You can look great all day Friday, and spend less time getting ready to go out and start the weekend!
I found this diva at the train stop on my campus. Those of us at urban campuses know that public transportation can house some incredible fashion. This Fashionista bases her look on the ever-stylish black jeans and black combat boots. Her unique bomber jacket gives her daytime look a retro feel, while her cheetah-print scarf adds a touch of flaire. To complete her look, she accessorizes with sunglasses. Under the jacket, this Fashionista wears a black top and black blazer, creating a sophisticated all-black look for nighttime. This outfit has two completely different looks; I picture this Fashionista cruising through some vintage record shops by day, and enjoying a sushi dinner with friends by night.
I urge you all to simplify your wardrobe as spring approaches. Trust me, you really don’t need to keep your favorite pair of jeans from high school, or the ugly scarf your aunt gave you for Christmas. Clear out the junk to make way for versatile and timeless clothing.
One Simple Change: This outfit could also work for a sporting event. Ditch the jacket, swap the blazer for a university T-shirt and you’ll be ready to cheer on the hotties of the soccer team!
