The most stressful part of the day (at least for me) is figuring out what to wear. There are so many factors that go into picking something to wear for a full day of classes, meetings and hanging with friends. You want to be comfortable and of course you want to look nice! I found a Fashionista, a fellow Communications major, who rocked the perfect outfit that could work from day to night.
Communications majors at Misericordia always seem to look put together compared to some other majors. I think it’s because we are constantly meeting with different groups on campus for different projects or running back and forth to our internships. Because of all the running around we’re forced to look nice – all day long. And, on top of all that, we probably won’t have time to change before going out with friends to dinner.
This Fashionista chose a pair of dark wash jeans, similar to these from Gap to serve as the base of her outfit. Then, she chose a bright, patterned top that makes her stand out in the crowd of other Communications kids or at her internship off campus. She accessorized with a pair of riding boots, like these from Macy’s, and a statement necklace. The statement necklace is key. It shows she had time to think about her look rather than rushing out the door. Banana Republic has great options for statement necklaces, so make sure to check those out!
Then, if she needs to head right from campus to dinner with family or friends, all she needs to do is add a blazer or jacket for a nighttime look. This one from Anthropologie is to die for!
One Simple Change: To make this outfit more springtime appropriate, and great for a brunch with girlfriends, swap the riding boots for strappy sandals. Go for a gold pair to highlight the statement necklace.
