WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

It’s finally December, and winter is quickly approaching along with the holiday season, but fall is still in full swing here in Madison. One of the best parts of winter is layering, but I also know that by the end of winter the last thing we want to do is put on all our layers and face the cold. So, while the temperatures are still warm, it’s nice to soak up the last few days of sun while your parka remains in your closet, especially so you don’t have to lug your jacket around on your date night.

For a date night, this Fashionista opted for a loose burnt orange top with a deep V-neck and simple black jeans. She caught my eye because of the orange hue, one that I don’t see a lot on campus. I know many of us opt for an all-black outfit on date night; I myself always lean toward this ensemble since it’s an easy yet chic option. But during fall, it’s nice to spice up your look with warmer colors while the leaves provide the perfect scenic backdrop. If the temperatures begin to drop even more, just throw on a leather jacket and brave the weather.

With the bold color of the top, this Fashionista accessorized with a simple gold necklace to not distract from the detail on the blouse. She tied her look together with a pair of short brown booties. This is the perfect pick for a more casual date night, but if you’re looking to dress up the look, swap out the short booties for a heeled pair.

Happy holidays, Fashionistas/os! Catch you next semester!
