WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Hello, fellow Fashionistas! During the school year, it can be hard to handle all the expectations of school, work and trying to keep a social life. Once there is free time in your packed schedule, you and your honey may need a night out on the town. That’s not the case for me but my best friend has been with her man for nearly five years. She often asks me to borrow clothes or to assist her in creating an outfit. That’s a lot of date outfits she has had.
What I often find myself or my friends doing to prepare for dates is over planning what I should wear. Heels or flats? Dress or skirt? Necklace or no necklace? I promise you, whoever you spend your night with will not be focusing on what you are wearing but YOU pretty thing! That being said, you should always represent yourself in a tasteful manner, but stay true to yourself!
With my beautiful model, I took into consideration that she looks great in anything but prefers comfort in her everyday style. To convey that into a date night outfit, she is sporting a preppy, feminine pant and top set up. With this season’s fall colors ranging from blush to cerulean, this lavender, long sleeve blouse with a scoop neckline and cuffed sleeves falls perfectly into the autumn color spectrum. With a blouse like this, it does not need much to make a statement in an outfit. It is simple and elegant; perfect for a date night. To add a pop of color to the purple, this fuchsia leather cross body does the trick! For nights out, you don’t want to be lugging around a heavy tote filled with knick knacks you don’t need! Keep your purse big enough for your phone, wallet, keys and your favorite lipstick. Simple black jeggings keep this outfit elegant yet comfortable. A Fashionista wants to sport her latest outfit obsession all night long, so make sure you can do so comfortably. Tan booties with a little heel give this look a sophisticated feel of a heel, with the actuality of the shoe being comfortable to dance the night away in. A gold statement tassel necklace ties together this look.
With the right pieces and accessories, the perfect date night outfit can be created. All that matters at the end of the night, is that you Fashionistas dress the way that makes you feel your best and portray who you truly are. Dress to impress, sure, but always dress for yourself. You have to be comfortable in what you pick for yourself; in your closet and your life.
That’s all the fashion and life advice I have today for you Fashionistas! Have fun on your well-deserved date night!
