WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

February 11th, 2016 at 2:10am

Well, we’re already in the month of February, or as some people call it, “the month of love.” Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching us, so ladies, hurry up and grab your dates. Just kidding, Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be that stressful but if you are fortunate enough to spend that day with someone special, you might be thinking to yourself, “what should I wear?”

One thing you can’t go wrong with for V-day is leather, wink, wink. But seriously, leather skirts are on the rise and are becoming a must have in every girl’s closet. This Fashionista is wearing a black leather mini skirt from Forever 21. I really like this skirt because of the unique, quilted pattern on it. It’s sure to make any guy’s head turn. She then pairs the skirt with a beige crop top. This top goes so well with this skirt because it’s not too long were it would cover up the skirt and the solid beige color is plain enough so it doesn’t clash with the patterns on the skirt. The peacoat she is wearing is perfect for a winter date because it will keep you warm while staying stylish. I hate when I have a cute outfit on but my puffy winter coat just ruins it.

The black stockings and booties really bring this outfit together. I think stockings are a must-have when you’re wearing a dress or skirt in winter. They can really dress up your outfit but also keep your legs warm. The booties are also a nice way to make your outfit a little more fancy and fashionable. Lastly, this Fashionista finishes her outfit with a black, leather Rebecca Minkoff cross-body bag and some simple, gold jewelry. The bag goes very well with the leather skirt and the gold jewelry really complements the different colors and patterns throughout the whole outfit.

One Simple Change: Of course not everybody will be spending Valentine’s Day with a significant other so this could be the perfect time to have a major girl’s night out with your girlfriends. If this is the case, I would trade the peacoat that she is wearing for a leather jacket. This will make the outfit less fancy and more appropriate for going out to the bars or clubs.
