WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Friday night is quickly approaching and the amount of time that you have left to pick out a cute outfit is ticking away. You want to wear something perfect and noticeable on the big night out with your significant other without looking awkward and flashy. Do guys actually realize what girls go through just to successfully pick out an outfit each day? Probably not, however, it does not to be as hard as we make it! While there are many opportunities for wrong turns when choosing a date night outfit, this Fashionista could not have looked more stunning in what she chose to wear for her night out on the town; simply stated, keeping it simple and chic.

This Fashionista chose to wear a royal blue strapless sweetheart dress, complementing her baby blue eyes (genius way to receive an automatic compliment). The dress is fitted at the top and less fitted from the torso down, keeping the look less formal and more appropriate than a bodycon dress would be. The solid colored dress permits her to wear almost any shoe and accessory combo. A dress with a busier pattern would have made finding matching accessories much more challenging. In my opinion, the accessories that were chosen for this specific outfit should be considered staples in every Fashionista’s closet! Alex and Ani bangles are great to wear with outfits on both ends of the casual-formal spectrum and promote self-expression through each bracelet’s unique identification. Along with the bangles, she is wearing chandelier earrings that balance out her jewelry and frame her face in the most perfect way. Finally, her shoe of choice was woven tan lace-up wedges. In my opinion, wedges are the most powerful accessories a girl can have as they have the ability to dress up jeans and a peplum or dress down something such as the cocktail dress we see our Fashionista wearing for her date night.

One Simple Change: Heading to a relative or friend’s graduation? Whether a graduation or other more upscale event than a date night, try swapping the wedge out and replacing them with a pair of blush or cream colored pumps instead for a more sophisticated and formal look. Easy as pie!
