WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

Sure, when you think of someone picking out an outfit to wear on a date, you picture a girl frantically looking through her closet, tossing aside everything and exclaiming, “I have nothing to wear!” Yeah, this happens with girls because we want to make a good impression, but what about the boys!? They care, too! They may not have the same stereotype of looking through their closets frantically, but guys definitely worry about date outfits, too. Have no fear, boys, I’m here to point you in the right direction and to speak on something that isn’t often spoken on.

No matter the season, it’s pretty much safe to say that nights are cooler than the day. It’s almost always a good idea to include some layering in a date night outfit (boy or girl). The amount of layers will change according to season, (obviously), but this Fashionisto displays a perfect amount of layers for a cool spring night. He has on a long sleeved patterned button-down under a denim jacket, which is perfect for the 50 to 60 degree weather we’ve got going on right now. To keep his outfit casual yet put together, he adds a pair of fitted khaki pants with a pair of slip on shoes. I don’t know the brand of those shoes, but they are so cool and finish off the look so well. To add a little bit of extra, this Fashionisto added an awesome hat, making him pretty much a cooler and more modern Indiana Jones.

Now, guys, you may be saying, “this outfit looks easy enough to replicate,” but it’s all about the fit of the clothes. This Fashionisto clearly knows how to buy clothes for his body type, and that’s the hardest part of it all. If you’re still letting your mom shop for you or buying things without trying them on, you’re doing it wrong. Dressing rooms are there for a reason, and if you want to impress the ladies, you’re going to need to put them to use. This Fashionisto looks trendy and clearly has honed his own style, which is all you need to look good in the clothes you wear.

One Simple Change: The spring weather is too warm for long sleeves? Swap the long sleeved button-down for a short sleeved one and you’re good to go.
