WHAT TO WEAR: Date Night

March 23rd, 2015 at 2:00am

Have you ever thought about how hard it is to be single in our generation? Nowadays it’s somewhat of a game trying to snag a special someone. When the moment finally comes that you’ve been asked on a date (hopefully not via Snapchat), the new challenge is figuring out what to wear. Going on a date doesn’t necessarily mean throwing on a LBD and stilettos. Date outfits should simply express your personal style and showcase what makes you unique.

This Fashionista (spotted out with her equally dapper beau) dons a relaxed and urban ensemble. She layers a long graphic T-shirt with a sporty track jacket. With the addition of a simple pair of black jeggings and some Nike Airs, her look is the epitome of “sporty-chic.” She finishes her outfit with a ball cap and a gold watch for classy flare. The look is easily something you can wear to class or on the weekends. If it’s a casual date, that’s what you should go for.

When getting ready for a date, don’t overthink it! If it’s the first time out with the guy you’ve been crushing on forever, it’s easy to get carried away and try too hard to impress him. A lot of people think good style revolves around overpriced outfits with elaborate details. This isn’t always the case. Relax and dress like yourself like this Fashionista did!

One Simple Change: Should (heaven forbid) the temperatures make a stark drop as they sometimes do when seasons transition, switch the track jacket for a longline overcoat to stay warm and cozy.
