What to Wear

One of the best parts about spring arriving soon is all the outside activities that will be happening soon. Some of my personal favorite ones include art festivals, sporting events and hiking. Another one is all the local concerts and music festivals that happen. Going to an outside concert when the weather is warm can be one of the most relaxing ways to spend a weekend. Good music, good weather and of course good fashion.

This Fashionista’s outfit is perfect for a casual spring concert in the park. Her statement piece is her bodycon skirt which has a unique tribal pattern. This fun skirt is balanced with a simple black tank top which keeps the outfit from having too much going on. Because it is still a little cool and windy at the beginning of spring, she wears a white cardigan over the tank. She also wears a pair of black tights under the skirt to keep her legs warm. Also, for me, tights are great because they make me feel a little more secure about wearing all kinds of skirts. For shoes, she wears a pair of brown combat boots. These shoes are great because, even if it is a casual concert where you can sit down, you want to wear a pair of shoes that will be comfortable and easy to walk in. Overall, the Fashionista’s outfit is a great mix between pretty and comfortable enough for a relaxing local concert.

One Simple Change: Bodycon skirts are pretty versatile garments, depending on just how tight and long they are. If it is a warmer day, get rid of the tights and replace the boots with sandals or wedges for a casual date.
